I do not feel obliged to believe....

" I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use." Galileo

My final report on our incredible boating adventure

winmail.dat (8 KB)

We left Morehead City, NC at 1:30am on Sunday morning May 17, 2009.

About 2:30am we entered the area called the "Knuckle" off the coast of Cape
Lookout, NC. We were struck by a huge 12 foot wave. Praise the Lord! Our
50 foot EastBay Motor Yacht did not get swamped. Our dinghy was damaged.
About 4 hours later we lost our Port Engine. We were forced to limp into
Cape Hatteras, NC on one engine. This is not an easy task, but our Captain
Phil Smith was up to the task. We secured our vessel in Teach's Marina with many lines because of the
approaching front and the accompanying rain and high winds.

We left Cape Hatteras at 1:00pm. We hired a local driver to take us to the
Norfolk Airport, a 3 hour trip by car. In Norfolk we picked up our rental
car at 4:35pm and began our journey back to Hilton Head Island. At 12:30am
Monday morning we arrived at home.

We give praise, honor, and glory to Jesus for our protection and our
provision during our travels.

A stone to stumble over

Look! I am putting a stone in Zion to stumble over, and a rock to trip over, yet the one who trusts on Him will not be put to shame.

Place your trust in Jesus. You will find life in Him.

Amen

I am persuaded

I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will have the power to separate us from the love of God that is in Jesus our Lord.

Amen

One step forward and five steps back

We have been trying to cross LaKe Okochobee siince 10:30am this morniing. Our 50 foot EastBay requires 4.5 feet of water. We have been experiencing. places in the lake with only 3 feet of water.

The Lord sent us an angel in a fast boat to guide us into a channel that he thinks will get us to the East side of the lake today.

Your prayers are welcome and most appreciated.

The Way is narrow

Matthew 7: 13 and 14 "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate
and broad is the road that leads to destruction and many enter through it.
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few
find it."

Changing Demographics

The demographics of Europe and North America are changing rapidly. We ignor these changes at our peril.
