DEFINING SUCCESS

Do you ever feel like the clock is turning way too fast on your goals and dreams?

It's easy to get caught up in the 'DAILY' activities of LIFE . . . and YOUR DREAMS pass you by.

I was just reading SUCCESS MAGAZINE and there's an article on Zig Ziglar aptly called 'Defining Success.'

A couple of points really stood out here:

  1)  People are looking for success in 8 basic

      areas:  Happiness, Health, Reasonable

Prosperity & Security, Friends, Peace of

Mind, Good Family & Relationships & Hope.

  2)  Action -- Don't confuse activity with

      accomplish.  Zig recommends choosing 5

things to FOCUS on and COMPLETE each

year (have defined daily, weekly, and

      monthly targets -- and accountability)

  3)  Zig is a'dyed in the wool' believer of

positive thinking -- and was very clear

to note that 'positive thinking won't let

you do anything, but it will help you do

      EVERYTHING BETTER than negative thinking

      will.'

  4)  Block out 30 minutes a day (min) -- it

can be in chunks of 15 minutes to read

or listen to a positive, inspiring, or

      motivational message.

  5)  Commit today to become others focused.

With your spouse, your children, your

prospect, and your peers, keep the

question 'How can I help you?' as a

      primary focus in the relationship.

Zig Ziglar is probably most well known for his axiom 'You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help enough people get what they want?'

So, what have you let pass you by?  What do you want to accomplish?

NOW is the time!

Take some time for yourself over the weekend and think about what you want to accomplish in the 2nd half of 2010.

Many blessings,

Ben
